So I love photography and I also love to edit my pictures to make them stand out more. It can really help you give your photo a story, or make you feel the emotions on a picture. I've taken 4 different photos and edited them all in a completely different way. That's also because they're different poses and emotions, kind of. Continue on reading underneath every picture!
This pose (no eye contact or smile) asks for a black and white effect because it's not a 'happy' photo and I want to emphasize that. But that's to boring isn't it? It was made with a flash so the lighting was already good. I darkened the shadows, added the black and white effect and also a polaroid effect which gives it the blue and kind of 'used' tone. This picture in color would not have made me look at it closer, I find now I draws you in a little bit more. (=more interesting)
So this one was the sneak peak in my previous post. Anyway this one started out just like the rest (more like the next picture). Making it way brighter I wanted it to look a little portrait-y. I gave it the good old black and white effect but softened it a little bit by giving it a sepia tone first. Then I cut of the corners and gave it a round frame because the pose fits in so nicely.
I warmed up the temperature, faded the background a little and brightened the highlights. I wish I could paint! This would be fun to do in pop art style. Anyway, the effects made the picture more soft and calming.
Darkening the picture and giving it a blue tone made it look like night time. Then I added the 'extra-layer' of galaxy stars I found on google and faded it a little because it was quite extreme. Anyway it looks way more fun!
I hope I gave you some ideas on what you can do with your pictures to give each of them their own thing (if you know what I mean)
xoxo
Love this info, thank you so much! :)
